    • You can cast into sand normally, you don't need kinetic sand - but it's better with certain sands that are a little damp so it clumps easier. You can do this with any metal, though when I pour silver into a sand casting mold, it burns it because of the high temp molten silver is at (1/2)

    • I do a lot of aluminum and bronze casting. Aluminum melts at ~1200 f and bronze at ~950 f. Kinetic sand mixes do work as molds, but this playsand version does not work super well. Also NEVER put water on an incomplete casting. It can cause the molten metal to go everywhere, which is baaaad.
