To build on the prior post, another common position against civic nationalism is from the angle of an ethno-nationalist. Im just glossing
over a couple arguments I've come across with some responses, please comment.
1. perhaps the common argument see is that civic nationalism rejects ethnic collectivism, particularly for Whites, and makes everyone an individual when people are naturally collectivist
Response: I think this shows an ignorance of what nationalism is collectivist), given that civic nationalism is the creation of a collectivist identity, however it is focused towards culture.
2. Civic nationalism is experimental and is a thing that has never been done before the modern age
Response: this shows an ignorance to history, there have been nations that had civic nationalism before. However, many people in their times had similar concerns as ones today that are worth discussing,things like assimilation,in-group out-group preferences, migration etc
