Civilization ultimately is a paramount value. This is because cultivation and construction are the most refined spiritual disciplines. It may be true that a low-grade technological existence is less
psychologically strenuous, these times were likely the least conductive to self-awareness and the evolution of pure consciousness. The only
"point" to existence is to ascend to higher grades of awareness and consciousness.
Civilization creates conditions in which this is even meaningfully possible. I think criticisms of technology and civilization to be augmentative, I do not think any abolition of civilization is a useful or fruitful endeavor whatsoever.
Civilization just needs to be conducted eugenically.
