Soup on a Stick
These colorful, nutritious soup sticks can made from any kind of soup or combinati, of soups. To make a tangy tomato soupsicle mix one can of tomato soup with one cup of tomato-vegetable juice. Add a tablespoon lemon juice and a drop or two of Tabasco sauce. Add very thinly sliced pieces off cucumber and pour the soup into moulds,
(Plastic moulds with sticks can be bought in sets. Or plastic spoons can be frozen into the soupsicles instead of sticks.) Freezing time is about three hours. After removing moulds, toothpick a lemon peel face on your soup stick.
Another popular item is the frosty chicken stick. Dissolve two chicken bouillon cubes in cup of water. Add one can of cream chicken soup and 3 cup of milk and pour into moulds.
Freezing time is about 34 hours. Just before serving, roll the frosty sticks in finely minced scallions or parsley.
