    • This actually did work on older versions of Windows. Windows used to be "Event driven" meaning the cpu would complete and redirect tasks only when an event was registered. Clicking counts as an event, inherently making your cpu pay more constant attention to its processes, in some cases speeding up.

    • The TC is correct. Whether you know you're doing it or not, spam clicking will assist with diagnostic, and sometimes result in an easier force close. Many times windows will lock and cant even be force closed via Task Manager, so spamming input will typically override this and force close the window
