    • @UnsightedMule, that was when feminism was actually about equality. That step has ended completely.

    • @CU_George__Washington, it's not man's fault, it's society as a whole. The idea is to give even more women successful careers and to try and reverse the feminization of poverty to equal levels at a bare minimum.

    • @AU_bjorg, how is that mans fault that women have a higher chance to fall into poverty? That's their own fault. Plenty of women have successful, decently-paid careers

    • @CU_George__Washington, in the US there is just over 5 million in difference between the genders. It would take a much larger gap for both poverty rates to be equal so as it stands, women do in fact have a larger chance of falling into poverty.

    • @CU_George__Washington, lastly we are talking about poverty here. In the United States 5 million more women are below the poverty line then men. Yes it's true that men are more likely to be homeless but women are more likely to be poor.

    • @CU_George__Washington, part of closing the pay gap is removing "pink" collared jobs which are traditional and part of the feminist movement. Secondly, allowing more women in office increases gender representations and allows more diversity in the ideas present.

    • @AU_bjorg, the pay gap is closed, it's a common misconception. Women for some reason just happen to choose careers that pay less money. So as a whole group, women make 75cents to a mans dollar, but not for the same job. And wanting more women in politics doesn't necessarily mean equality, just more

    • @CU_George__Washington, so closing the pay gap, trying to stop the feminization of poverty, making gains to increase female representation in the government, and trying to get more women in stem and more men in education isn't for equality? I disagree sir.
