    • For java players (bedrock doesn't have quasi-connectivity IIRC), you can very easily automate sugarcane with 3 glass, one dirt, one piston, one observer, one golden rail, and one rail, and 2 normal blocks per module. Put water next to the sugarcane dirt, and a piston 2 blocks above the water...

You can make that first one with two buckets of water whereas the second would take SIGNIFICANTLY more as well as the first can just collect the cane by breaking it down the row so harvesting (1/2)
