Indian actor Aamir Khan announced donation
of 1 Kg bag of flour to each poor family. Many
didn't think it was worth it since 1 kg is almost
of no use or maybe good for 1 meal. But
those who were in desperate need lined up to
collect the 1 kg bag of flour. After opening the
bag they found 15,000 ruppees in each bag.
What an amazing and smart way of donating,
only those who were in so much need were
the one's who got helped.

    • Yeah it’s about 200 usd but remember in India a main course at a decent place can be around 100 rupees($1.33) and a good place can give a person an appetizer, main, fountain drink, and coffee/tea for about $4-5usd. So that’s enough cash for 40 meals at an affordable sit down place.

You don’t have direct control over all of it though, you only control about 10%. The difference is subtle but important. Sry

Not to mention that if these people were desperate enough to line up for a couple kgs of flower then any amount would help. Also the minimum wage, if they even go that much, is about 3 US dollars per day
