People who need ICU care stay there for weeks, and most hospitals don’t have more than a dozen ICU beds available at any given time. Most of the time that’s stretching it. Once those…

    • That’s not taking into account the entire reason of stopping the spread is so it can’t get to the elderly and those who have weaker immune systems. For those people, survival % is low. It’s the fact that this pandemic can spread with such ease that government did what they did and plans on doing.

Anosmia is a common symptom, and while most of the time goes away quickly, some cases haven’t gone away yet and could therefore be permanent. That means no more smell or taste for life.

    • You used the law of large numbers to actually manipulate it. Because you know it’s less than 1% it’s more like .24-.26% so divide by 4. 50% of Americans likely have T cell immunity so divide by half. To reach heard immunity you need 75% or so. So halve it again. Your new number is now 240k at most

    • 1. It’s way less than 1% 2. 50% of Americans likely have T Cell immunity 3. That maximum deaths is 300,000. Which I think the current 30 million + jobs lost has a more lasting impact. 4. The “for every one” thing is patently false.
