    • It’s true. They bought a navigational gyroscope to try and prove the earth doesn’t rotate on an axis. However they kept finding that the gyroscope changes origin 15 degrees every hour thus proving the rotation.

    • I think I heard of this. They had one dude with a laser pointer and the other one stand really far away across a lake and they said because the earth is flat the laser point would shine right on the other dude but lo and behold the laser was way above the other dude because of the curvature

    • For some more context, they spent 20,000 to purchase a laser gyroscope, a super precise solid state version of a traditional gyroscope. This device can detect the earth’s rotation. They switched it on, and it showed the rotation. Their excuse was some sort of radiation interfering with it, so...

    • Their idea of research is googling and looking for something they agree with, calling everything fake on their way to page 20. When they go to real science, they get proven wrong. Surprise surprise

    • I watched the whole documentary, the idea that the earth is flat is totally stupid, the INTERESTING part of the documentary was the psychology and logic that flat earthers abide by

    • Serous question if the earth is flat than that means that scientists in not only America but every other country are making this huge cover up which is hard to believe when we can’t even stop killing each other for a moment like how does a world that wages war come together to “trick” the population

    • I watched this. They prove themselves wrong TWICE... and pretty much said "well science isnt perfect, test it another way until we get the result we're looking for"

    • Dude I watched part of the documentary and just stopped after half way. They literally spoke NOTHING about the conspiracy theory and just focused more on how ‘flat earthers don’t live w/their moms’. Literally.... not even joking.
      4
    • Dude that's not even the best part. 3 flat earth groups did it one after another and kept proving themselves wrong.
      4
    • I watched that documentary for shits and giggles to find out what proof they have, and they never list any of their proof, they just talk about all their organizations

    • The 20,000 came from buying a gyroscope from an airplane to measure the rotation of the earth. The one part cost 20,000

    • For those who didnt see it: they went to a flat part in thier state and said if one stands about half a mile away the laser will be at the same level. However when they did the experiment the laser was above the dude. Proving curvature.

    • I give them a little credit, at least there trying experiments to attempt to prove their point rather than just doing the antivax thing of “It gave my kid a rash, I’ll never vax again >:(“

    • It’s from Behind the Curve, a documentary on Netflix. Basically they stood on either side of a lake and pointed a laser pointer straight across. The laser ended up being slightly higher than it was supposed to be, indicating curvature of the surface.
