    • Oh my goodness... so many people are complaining about the receiver being made out of aluminum. AR receivers ARE ALUMINUM. 6061 or 7075 is what they’re made out of. Some melted down cans won’t make the thing break. You could make an AR lower out of a block of wood and it’ll be fine.

    • So soda cans are made from 3104 and good quality AR receivers are made from 7075. Both have similar mechanical properties but 7075 is definitely stronger and more durable. Still, I'd take a soda can receiver over any of the new polymer ones that are becoming more popular.
