    • Alto 2s such as myself are slots because we can hit the low notes as well as the high ones. 1st slots can only hit the lowish ones, second soprano can only hit high notes and 1st sopranos usually can hit the high and low notes. 2nd altos and 1st sopranos usually have the widest range

    • I can go that high and I'm an alto, I have a 3 1/2 octave range so don't judge based on voice part because I can guarantee you I can go higher than any soprano in my choir. And I'm in an all girls choir. With professional singers.

    • Altos are actually put in that category for singing all ranges or some. Sopranos and mezzos normally can't go low so people who sing alto can go both high and low

    • A lot of sopranos are sopranos because they have the range to be altos, or sometimes even tenors, but they're put as sopranos because they can hit the really high notes that others can't. Thank ya very much
