    • The RBMK-1000 was a flawed design. It had a positive void coefficient. In normal reactors, the more steam and less water in the core, the more the power goes down. In Chernobyl reactor 4, the temperature would still rise because of the graphite blocks. Then the graphite control rods caused a spike.
