    • I’m used to seeing it through a shade, but if I’m not wrong, that’s a carburizing flame. Sure that can heat metal, but you’d want a neutral flame to maximize heat output. Also, with acetylene gas, carburizing flames leave carbon soot which makes an awful mess.
