    • People used to be able to own canons and battleships. We should be allowed to own tanks. The original meaning of the 2nd Amendment was that the civilians would have the means to “go to war” against their own government if necessary.

    • Since I’m a retard I once wrote a scenario for what it could be like in an apocalyptic scenario (think T Clancy’s The Division or Far Cry new dawn) where I thought it’d be cool if I was using a tank to travel across the US.

    • The government used to issue letters of mark, which allowed private citizens to use their own ‘battleships’ to pirate enemies. Our government cans still issue them but they won’t because we have a standing military. The point is that the allowed private citizens to own the battleships of the time.
