• Movie games have a really bad reputation for being
really horrible games, with its only gimic being "its the
movie that you can play" when the game really has
nothing to do with the movie
But if theres one extremely underrated movie game that
everyone either forgot about or never heard about, its
battle for middle earth.
Its technically the whole trilogy in 1 game, but its still an
extremely underrated rts and movie game. Its unique
mechanics makes it such an intense and suspenseful
game.
Castles. This game relies a lot on base management, if
you're isengard or mordor, you will have to build turrets
around your base, which isnt hard to do, and youll
eventually get a wall of turrets that repel most invaders,
especially early on in the game, from just ravaging your
stuff.
If you play as rohan or gondor, you get a physical wall
with a gate, where people physically cant get in unless
they destroy the gates or wall with siege equipment.
this is one thing that makes BFME extremely unique and
interesting because you feel really safe in your base
with all of these protection barriers and turrets, but you
must be able to defend it when mordor comes with
catapults, trolls and mumakills, or defend it when rohan
decides to send ents your way and the only way you can
stop the onslaught is with fire arrows.
Also, it was made later in the rts's life cycle, the
graphics, voice acting, real-time mechanics and
everything is much refined clean. Its truly

    • Damn, reminded me of the time I found a copy of battle for middle earth 2 at a thrift shop. Sadly a disc was corrupted and the rest broke while my family was moving.

    • This game was my shit when I was younger. Honestly if more people played LOTR in my area, I'd pick up the tabletop game.
