Kara Mustafa Pasha is a less than popular
Ottoman general and Vizier who is most
remembered for his defeat at Vienna when
the Polish King
Jan Sobieski took advantage of dissent
within the Turkish military command poor
disposition of his troops, winning the battle
with a flank - attack that ended in the Ottomans withdrawing from Hungary. This ultimately costed Mustafa his life and he was strangled with a silk cord.
