We put my dog down September 13. Her legs started to fail on her and it got to the point where we would have to carry her outside to use the bathroom. She also started to get cancer. She was a good pup and she will be missed
My dog, Cody, just died today. He turned 15 yesterday. It was very sudden. I know he is in a better place and no longer in pain but I just wish I could have said good bye (I'm away at college)
This is Goose. She is 7 months old. I am posting her here to try and bring OP a bit of a smile in their dark time. Losing a pet, no... a friend, is the worst thing to happen to anyone. Just remember that it'll get better, and they're always with you. Hopefully Goose gives you a little bit of a smile
She fought the good fight and you guys very obviously loved her and she knew it and that's what matters. It's not the time we have but how we use it that's important. Nothing is more important than loving and feeling loved for animals.
I’m interested in starting an organization in a couple years to make sure unwanted pets, (this one was clearly loved as a kitten but some like this aren’t ever loved) to make sure that animals like this that are either very old or keep coming back to the shelter find a warm loving house and owner.
Her owner was aware she was struggling, and knew that she would pass soon. He said on his Instagram page that she passed away peacefully during the night.
I haven't been able to keep cats for terribly long because of their nature around here. We never actively find a cat , mostly take in the troubled ones and care for them. Eventually they start going outside, since they've come from there so we'd let then out from time to time and they'd come back-
Recently my dog deuce died. We got her euthinised during the winter a d the day after my dad noticed her paw prints in the snow and started crying. And I would catch myself looking over to where she used to sit when we had dinner. I really miss the clinking noise her name tag made.
