Community Standards for Content and Comments

At iFunny we understand the importance of self expression and keeping our users safe.


To do this, we have created a comprehensive set of standards that detail exactly what is and what is not allowed on iFunny.


Accounts, comments and uploads that violate these standards will be removed from iFunny.

  1. Nudity and Pornography

    What it is: Photographs, gifs and videos depicting nudity, sexual poses or acts, even if censored.
    Note: Some “Pornographic” imagery will be permitted if it is used in a humorous context like a meme or funny video, as long as it shows no nudity or explicit sex act.
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Nudity: Fully visible genitals, fully uncovered buttock or female nipples.
      2. Partial Nudity: Any visible part of a female nipple, or a clear outline of a person’s sex parts, will be considered partial nudity. For example, cameltoes or outlines of penises will be removed.
      3. Censoring Genitals: Genitals may only be covered by clothing or entirely cropped from view. For example, pixelation, stickers, hands and objects are not acceptable methods of covering a person’s genitals.
      4. Sex Acts: Persons may not be engaged in a sexual act with someone else or themselves, even if clothed.
      5. Cropped Porn: Scenes from pornographic videos, gifs and photos cannot be posted, even if cropped to exclude nudity.
      6. Bodily Fluids: Images and videos may not contain bodily fluids, including: vomit, semen, urine & feces.
      7. Animal Genitalia: Photos and videos of animal cannot feature close-ups of animal genitalia or having sex.
    2. Acceptable:

      1. Sex Toys: Pictures of dildos and other sex toys will be accepted
      2. “Photoshopped” People: “Photoshopping” the human body is permitted, provided it does not violate nudity or partial nudity rules.
      3. Used in Memes: Cropped porn and non-nude sex acts are okay, when used in a humorous context. Including meme style captions or edited videos. Cannot show explicit content.
      4. Fake Nudity: Objects that look like “nude” parts of the human body.
      5. Animals: Animals exist in a natural state and do not have to wear clothes in photographs or videos.
  2. Erotica

    What it is: Adults persons, over the age of 18, in a sexual or seductive pose that does not show nudity, partial nudity, a sexual act or bodily fluid.
    Note: Genitals must be completely covered by clothing or cropped from view. Female nipples may be covered with a censor or object.
    1. Acceptable:

      1. Covered Up: Pictures and videos of people posing in a lewd or sexualized manner are okay, provided the female nipple is completely covered, by any object, and one’s genitals are covered by clothing or cropped from view.
      2. Touching & Kissing: Touching and kissing are approved provided it does not occur on the genitals.
      3. Shirtless Men: Nudity standards do not apply to the male nipple. Uploads with shirtless men are approved.
  3. Minors

    What it is: Photos, Gifs and videos of people appear under the age of 18.
    Note: Minors must be covered with articles of clothing and may not use “censors” or objects to cover nudity.
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Child Exploitation: People who are under the age of 18 may not appear nude, in a sex act or sexualized pose.
      2. Children with Sex Toy: Children cannot appear with sex toys or other items that look like genitals.
      3. Censoring Nudity: Persons under the age of 18 may not use a censor to cover nudity. Clothes are the only appropriate cover for persons under 18 years old.
      4. Child Endangerment: Videos or photos that show adults beating or disciplining children will be removed.
      5. State of Undress: Minors may not appear in a state of undress including bikinis or underwear.
    2. Acceptable:

      1. Clothed: Persons under the age of 18 may appear in photos and videos provided they are clothed.
  4. DDLG / Underage Relationships

    What it is: Content that glorifies, advocates or describes a sexual fantasy where one participant is under 18 or otherwise portrayed as a child or “little”.
    Note: iFunny has zero tolerance for content that sexualizes the relationship between caregivers and their wards or an adult and a child, including but not limited to DDLG, DDLB, MDLG, MDLB, CG, CGL, DL theme content.
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Role Plays: Interactive posts where one of the participants is described as or portrayed to be under 18, a “little”, a child, a “caregiver” or a parent.
      2. Images & Texts: That glorify or advocate for relationships with “littles” or children, including but not limited to DDLG, DDLB, MDLG, MDLB, CGL, DL, etc.
  5. Anime & Illustrated Content

    What it is: Animations and drawings of people, animals or creatures.
    Note: Many of the same standards for pornography, nudity and erotica apply to anime & illustrations.
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Sexual Acts: Sexual acts and touching of genitals are not permitted. Even if nudity censored, overt and explicit sex acts will be removed from the app.
      2. Nudity: Female nipples must be covered or censored, the buttock cannot be fully exposed, genitals may not be shown.
      3. Partial Nudity: Any visible part of a female’s nipple, or a clear outline of a person’s sex parts, will be considered partial nudity. For example, cameltoes or outlines of penises will be removed.
      4. Sexualized Animals: Animals that are “anthropomorphized” cannot show nudity, partial nudity or engage in sex acts.
      5. Censored Genitals: Genitals may only be covered by clothing or entirely cropped from view. For example, pixelation, stickers, hands and objects are not acceptable methods of covering a person’s genitals.
      6. Bodily Fluids: Illustrations and animations may not contain bodily fluids, including: vomit, semen, urine & feces.
      7. Cropped Porn: Scenes of sex acts may not be cropped to exclude nudity.
      8. Hard Lolicon: Lolis or illustrated children who appear under the age of 18 cannot be shown in erotic, lewd or sexualized poses.
    2. Acceptable:

      1. Characters Under 18: Approved for posting provided they are fully clothed and not engaged in a sexual pose or act.
      2. Covered Up: On adult characters, the female nipple may be censored in any way, provided their genitals are covered by clothing or completely cropped from view.
      3. Character Artwork: Traditional character or fandom art is approved, provided it complies with applicable standards.
      4. Erotic Memes: Illustrated erotic content is approved for use in humorous scenarios and in meme formats, provided it shows no partial or full nudity.
  6. Drugs

    What it is: Photos and videos of narcotics that are mostly illegal in the United States, like marijuana, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, etc.
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Drug Sales: Using iFunny to sell contraband materials and narcotics is forbidden.
    2. Acceptable:

      1. Memes: Drug use can be shown if it is used in a meme or a funny context.
  7. Harassment

    What it is: Uploads that single out a user by name to insult, demean or humiliate: them, their family or a group they belong to.
    Note: Sharing personal info without permission is a violation of federal law!
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Threats: Content designed to intimidate a person or group by any means including, doxxing, murder or injury, rape, harassment, etc.
      2. Cyberbullying: Do not post content that calls out another user by name with the purpose of abusing them.
      3. Doxxing: Posting information about an individual without their permission, including, but not limited to, phone numbers, addresses, location and ip addresses.
      4. Photosensitive GIFS: Do not post content with rapidly flashing animations that may trigger an epileptic fit.
    2. Acceptable:

      1. Dark Humor: Users are free to make jokes about taboo subjects like suffering, death, religion, sex, gender, tragedies, mass shootings, natural disasters, politics, disabilities, sexuality, etc. These posts cannot include graphic material described in section IX.
      2. Popular Figures: Users are free to single out public figures by name, provided their commentary does not violate other standards like hate speech, doxxing, threats.
  8. Hate Speech

    What it is: A direct attack based on a person’s or group’s background made to insult, demean or dehumanize them.
    Note: There is a fine line between making a joke and using hate speech, learn it!
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Violent Politics: Calls for political violence will be removed.
      2. Hateful Propaganda: Users cannot upload visual or written content that: acts to recruit users into their violent political movement or makes claims about a group’s religious, racial, ethnic, cultural, physical or intellectual superiority or inferiority.
      3. Content with the “N” Word: Content with complete spellings of “n*gger” will be rejected.
    2. Acceptable:

      1. Political Symbols: Users are free to use political symbols in their jokes and memes, for example: soviet hammer and sickle, photos of Hitler, swastikas, donkeys and elephants, rainbow flag, etc.
      2. Historical Photos: Users may share historical photos provided they show no gore or nudity.
  9. Gore & Self Harm

    What it is: Content that contains images of death, serious injuries, blood, wounds and self harm.
    Note: Gore from films and tv shows will be evaluated like they were “real.”
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Hardcore Gore: Images and videos of dead persons or people dying.
      2. Animals: Images and videos showing dead animals, animals being killed or seriously injured.
      3. Wounds: Images and videos showing blood or bleeding.
      4. Serious Injuries: Do not share images or videos where people receive a serious injury, likely resulting in death.
      5. Self Harm: Photos and videos of self inflicted injuries.
      6. Weapon Creation: Content cannot teach users how to make weapons, such as bombs or homemade guns.
    2. Acceptable:

      1. Fails, Fights & Slapstick: Users are free to upload images and videos of people or animals falling down, receiving minor injuries, fighting, etc.
      2. Suicide Jokes & Memes: Users are free to upload jokes and memes about suicide, this is an acceptable form of “dark humor.”Uploads must comply with above standards for gore.
      3. Weapons: Users may upload images and videos of weapons, including guns, knives, etc.
      4. 9/11 Content: Users are free to post content regarding 9/11, provided it does not show gore or death.
  10. Ads and Bots

    What it is: Promoting services, selling products or driving traffic to 3rd party sites.
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Ads: Posts offering the sale of services or goods.
      2. Bots: Posts made by “non-person entities” will be removed, regardless of content.
      3. “Rate Me”: Posts that ask users to objectify another person or themselves.
      4. Nudes: Posts that solicit, advertise, promote the sale of or exchange of nude photography or other explicit content.
    2. Acceptable:

      1. Funny Ads & Memes: Users are free to use ads in a humorous context, such as the “flex tape” or “sprite cranberry” memes.
      2. Chat Requests: Users are free to promote their other social media accounts, as long as they do not violate any of the above standards.
  11. Comments

    What it is: A description of comments that will be removed from the app.
    1. Do Not Post:

      1. Threats and Descriptions of Ultra Violence: Comments that promote violence against another user or group; or describe a violent act in explicit detail.
      2. Descriptions of Rape: Comments describing or threatening non-consensual intercourse.
      3. Ads / Spam: Comments that promote services, sell products or drive traffic to 3rd party sites.
      4. Grooming: People looking to solicit sex from underage users.
      5. DDLG / Underage Relationships: Comments advocating relationships where one participant is described or portrayed as under 18, a “little” or a child.
      6. DDLG Roleplay: Comments describing sexual fantasies where one of the participants is described or portrayed as under 18, a “little”, a child.
      7. Sharing Personal Information: Do not share personal information like address, location, phone numbers or ip addresses in comments.
